New capabilities for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
10th May, 2010 – 12th May, 2010
The European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Defence Agency (EDA) co-organize a workshop on May 11th-12th at ESA / ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. It is an opportunity for user communities and relevant stakeholders to get acquainted and involved in the ESA / EDA’s activities towards satellite enhanced UAS capabilities for, among others, environmental monitoring, asset inspection and civil security services. It will present how satellite services can contribute to make UAS operations more reliable and more capable to address an expanded range of operational scenarios, in turn opening up new opportunities for civil, military, and dual-use applications. We will also investigate user needs in their specific operational context, as a first step towards the upcoming demonstration(s).
Location: ESA / ESTEC in Noordwijk
