PhD Studentship - Durham University
Fully funded NERC CEOI PhD studentship available:
Applications of Advanced Technologies for Hyperspectral Imaging
Supervisors: Dept. of Physics and Dept. of Geography, Durham University.
Integral Field Spectroscopy can provide two orders of magnitude increase in the area that can be simultaneously observed and hence corresponding increases in the speed and efficiency of a hyperspectral imaging survey. This project will explore the potential of this new technology across a range of remote sensing applications using airborne and space-based platforms and will include an extended measurement campaign in the field using a prototype IFS instrument recently funded by CEOI to study water and vegetation habitats.
Further details and a project description are available below or contact Prof. Ray Sharples ( r.m.sharples@durham.ac.uk) or Prof Danny Donoghue (danny.donoghue@durham.ac.uk).
