GRSG AGM 2010 - Geo-environmental Remote Sensing - CALL FOR PAPERS
The theme of the 2010 Annual General Meeting of the Geological Remote Sensing Group is “Geo-environmental Remote Sensing”. The conference will present both applied and fundamental research that explores the application of remote sensing in mapping, monitoring and understanding the relationship between geology and the environment.
The 2010 GRSG AGM will take place at The Geological Society of London from 1-3 December, 2010.
CALL FOR PAPERS…..
The organizing committee invite papers and posters presenting new results on the theme of Geo-environmental Remote Sensing, including:
- Monitoring the effects of geological resource exploitation
- Geotechnical applications
- Geohazard mapping and monitoring
- Marine geohazards
- Assessing geo-environmental risk using remote sensing
- Geology and surface processes on the Earth and other planets
The organizing committee also welcome relevant papers that present new results, techniques or data analysis methods that may include:
- In-situ, airborne and satellite spectral remote sensing
- Airborne and ground-based Lidar
- FTIR spectroscopy and exploitation of thermal emission data
- Radar and InSAR
- Measurement and application of elevation data, including bathymetry
- Linkage of observation and modelling
- Visualising and distributing geoenvironmental information
- Utilising imagery/EO data in the field
Please submit abstracts (max 500 words) for oral and poster presentations to agm@grsg.org.uk by 1st September, 2010. For more information on the GRSG AGM 2010 or to register for the conference please visit http://www.grsg.org
